As a successful wedding photographer, owner of the Fountains Ballroom, Erin Court and Memrical Design Studio, I wanted to write a personal letter to all the newly engaged couples regarding your search for the ultimate wedding experience. For some time now, I’ve had a dream to offer couples the most beautiful weddings at an affordable price and, if nothing else, to offer our industry standard while you search for the venue of your choice. It is important to know that we are not just selling a cookie-cutter space—we offer a package of services and a blank canvas to create the wedding of your dreams at a price you can appreciate. Recently, after doing a little market research, we believe we are well on our way to giving you the wedding of a lifetime while leaving enough in your wallet for a Hollywood honeymoon.
According to a recent survey taken by TheKnot.com, on average, brides and their families rack up approximately $28,000 for their dream wedding. After reading this statistic, I was left wondering, “where does all this money go?” When broken down into categories, most people spend approximately 2% on the ceremony, 48% on the reception, 12% goes toward photography and videography, flowers take about 9%, attire 8%, stationery 5%, transportation 2%, gifts 3% and rings 3%. Of course, according to location and personal taste, these averages may fluctuate; but they’re still far above the average cost of a wedding at the Fountains Ballroom or Erin Court!
Countless times I’ve had parents of the happy couple tell me, “I just want to give my children the best wedding imaginable for the very best price.” Well, if we compare apples to apples—the Fountains Ballroom average to local and national averages—ours comes in $10,000 dollars less!
You may ask, “How?” We give more and take less and we truly care about each and every wedding as if it were our own. If, after you plan the wedding of your dreams, you end up in the red—we’ll find ways to help you save.
